Samantha Ruth Prabhu is having one of the best times of her career as she basks in the success of her latest release ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ and announced her pregnancy. Recently, director Nandini Reddy shared a special memory from the shoot where she revealed that she found out the actress was expecting while they were shooting the song ‘Thassadiya’.On iDream Media’s YouTube channel, Nandini Reddy shared that at first, the team thought Samantha was not feeling well because she had a fever. Everyone was worried about her health.
Nandini Reddy learned about Sam’s pregnancy
“I was very happy. I actually found out when we were shooting the Thassadiya song. It was almost towards the end of the shoot. They first told me that she wasn’t feeling well in the morning. We thought she must have a fever,” she said.The next day, Nandini asked Samantha if she was feeling better.
Samantha then shared the happy news with her. She said, “Actually, I’m carrying and suffering from morning sickness.” It was during the early stage of her pregnancy.After learning about it, the team became extra careful during the remaining days of the shoot. Nandini said, “From there, we took care during the rest of the shoot. Luckily, the action portions were already shot.”
About song ‘Thassadiya’
‘Thassadiya’ is a wedding song composed by Santhosh Narayanan where Samantha gave an energetic performance. The lyrics were written by Rehman, while Chinmayi Sripaada and Punya Selva sang the song. The dance was choreographed by Pony Verma.

After the film's release, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen with a baby bump. She later confirmed her pregnancy during a press conference.She said, “After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small gap, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. After that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans.”Speaking of the film’s box office run, its worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 65.13 crore at Sacnilk.
