Distribution of social security, welfare fund pensions for June to begin on June 24

The Finance department has sanctioned ₹1,081.32 crore for the payment of social security pensions and welfare fund board pensions for the month of June. The department has sanctioned ₹952.73 crore for the payment of social security pensions to 51.7 lakh pensioners and ₹128.59 crore for the payment of welfare fund board pensions to 6.50 lakh pensioners. In the case of 8.46 lakh beneficiaries under three social security pensions eligible for Central aid, the government has sanctioned ₹24.76 crore towards the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) share. The distribution of pensions will begin on Wednesday and has to be completed by July 3, a Finance Department order said.
