Amid the Karnataka power tussle, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar met the Congress high command in the national capital today.
Congress sources described the meeting as “positive,” with leaders believed to have discussed the possibility of a power shift. However, details of the talks remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, MLA Puttaranga Shetty claimed the visit, involving 20-22 people including families, is being routed through the Animal Husbandry Ministry for 'training and data collection'. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah defended the move, stating leaders are travelling at their own expense and 'nobody can stop them'. However, DK Shivakumar's brother, DK Suresh, distanced the Deputy CM from the controversy, clarifying that Shivakumar has no role in the trip as KPCC Chief or Deputy CM. The optics of the trip, which reportedly excludes MLAs from the DK Shivakumar camp, have further highlighted the ongoing power struggle and factional face-off within the state unit.
