Drop in KIA’s international passenger numbers in March due to West Asia crisis

The ongoing crisis in West Asia has led to a reduction in international flights and passengers at the two international airports in the State during March. The two airports which operate international flights in the State are Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) and the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA).

Both these airports reported cancellations of flights, especially to destinations in the West Asia region, in the wake of the conflict that erupted on February 28.
