HYDERABAD: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA) seized bogus Levipil 500 tablets, which are used to treat seizures in epilepsy cases, from two pharmaceutical shops on Sunday.
Officials said the shops were selling the tablets under the guise of being administered by Sun Pharma. Acting on credible information, DCA raided various locations across Hyderabad and Karimnagar. On July 4 and 5, officials caught Arvind Pharma Distributors in Kavadiguda and Venu Medical Agencies in Karimnagar in possession of the fraudulent tablets. DCA stated that an investigation is currently underway.
