Drummer stabs man to death during verbal duel over fight between their dogs in TN village

KRISHNAGIRI: A drummer stabbed a labourer to death with scissors during an argument over a fight between their dogs in a village in Krishnagiri district on Monday night. Police arrested the drummer.The murdered man has been identified as M Gopal, 45, of Narpanatty near Kelamabgalam. Gopal had a pet dog. M Muniyendra, 21, a drummer, who was residing at his grandmother Gauramma's house in Narpanatti, also had a pet dog, police said. On Monday night, their dogs got into a scuffle. Muniyendra, who arrived at the scene, engaged in a verbal duel with Gopal. "In a fit of rage, Muniyendra stabbed Gopal on the stomach with scissors.

Gopal collapsed," said an officer at the Kelamabgalam police station.He was rushed to a hospital for medical care where he died in the early hours of Tuesday.The police recovered the body and sent it to the Denkanikottai Government Hospital for postmortem.The Rayakottai police registered a case and arrested Muniyendra.
