Dubai confirms 'minor incident' at Oracle building in Internet City

Dubai Media Office has confirmed that the office of US tech giant Oracle in the Internet City was damaged by falling debris. In a post on microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Media Office of the Dubai government wrote: “Authorities confirm that they responded to a minor incident caused by debris from an aerial interception that fell on the facade of the Oracle building in Dubai Internet City”.

“No injuries were reported,” it further stated. This comes a day after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to launch an attack on a data center belonging to Oracle in Dubai, as per an Al-Jazeera report. The government then denied the claim, calling it a ‘fake news’. The media office then said that the circulating news is “fabricated and untrue”.

IRGC’s warning to tech companies

Earlier this week, IRGC has threatened attacks on US tech giants in the Middle East, including Microsoft, Google and Apple amid the ongoing US-Israel-Iran war.Sending a warning to American companies, IRGC said in the message that it would start targeting US technology and finance companies in the Middle East. IRGC's post warned "employees of these companies to leave their workplaces immediately to save their lives. It said that residents around these terrorist companies in all countries in the region should also leave their places within a radius of one kilometer and go to a safe place.

" In a statement, the Guards said, "These companies, starting from 8:00 pm (1630 GMT) Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1, should expect the destruction of their relevant units in exchange for every assassination in Iran."Out of the 18 companies named in IRGC's letter, 10 are American technology companies. Names include:
