Vijayawada: The Kanaka Durga temple is planning to streamline devotee services through a single QR code platform that will enable pilgrims to access darshan bookings, sevas, annaprasadam and hundi donations digitally.Temple executive officer V K Seena Naik said nearly 60 QR codes are currently in use for various services at the temple. The administration is now working towards integrating these services under a single official QR code to make transactions and bookings more convenient for devotees.Under the proposed system, devotees can scan the QR code, enter their mobile number, and make payments for various services. Tickets generated through the platform will be sent directly to their registered mobile numbers.
The temple has also made arrangements for kiosks and e-pass machines that will allow devotees to print their tickets, if required. The QR code will also be linked to the temple’s ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp service, enabling devotees to access information and services through their mobile phones. The QR codes are being made available at public locations, including bus stations, railway stations and other prominent places, allowing devotees to access temple services even before reaching the shrine.Officials further said that the temple will continue to maintain an offline payment counter for devotees who are unfamiliar with QR code-based transactions while gradually expanding digital service delivery.
