DVAC seizes 3.4 lakh unaccounted cash from RTO check post near Hosur

Krishnagiri: The directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC) seized Rs 3.4 lakh unaccounted cash following a sudden inspection at the Jujuwadi check post run by the regional transport department (RTO) on the Tamil Nadu–Karnataka border near Hosur, on Tuesday.The operation was headed by Krishnagiri district DVAC DSP Jayakumar. A team of 10 senior officers, along with over 100 police personnel, began the inspection around 5am. “The search lasted nearly three and a half hours and ended at about 8.30am.,” said an official.During the raid, officials confiscated unaccounted cash that duty officers could not satisfactorily explain. A detailed probe has been initiated.
