A resident of a housing society in Delhi’s Dwarka was booked after allegedly assaulting a security guard when asked to make an entry in the visitor’s register. The incident came to light after CCTV footage of the alleged assault went viral on social media, prompting police action.

According to police, the incident took place at the Vijay Veer Awas Yojana (Kargil Flats) housing society in Dwarka Sector-18A.

On June 25, 2026, Ajit Singh Nandal, President of the society’s Resident Welfare Association (RWA), lodged a written complaint at Dwarka North Police Station alleging that a resident, identified as Tarun Kumar, assaulted security guard Manoj, who was posted at Gate No. 1.
