Dwyane Wade gives a “shoutout to Michael Beasley" - Not in NBA anymore, but still taking the basketball by storm

Michael Beasley was one of the top prospects back in his college years, and it showed when he was drafted second overall by the Miami Heat back in 2008. He traveled from team to team, but never really found his place in any of them.

He played for the Heat at three different times, but marred by injuries and other difficulties, Beasley was unable to really make his mark on the NBA. But still, some legends think he is one of the most talented basketball players, and Dwyane Wade is no different, who heaped praise on the power forward recently.

Dwyane Wade is a Michael Beasley fan

Dwyane Wade was there when the Miami Heat picked Michael Beasley in the very first round, as their second overall pick back in 2008, and he was there when Beasley left the team in 2010.

The Heat legend left the team once in 2016 after close to 15 years with them, and in between, Beasley had made his return twice by then. Unfortunately, the stints were short and Beasley left the Heat for the third and last time in 2015.But having played with him, and seeing his talent in and out of the basketball court, Wade seems to be a fan of the 36-year-old. And he recently heaped praises on the player, calling him "probably the most talented basketball player who’s not in the NBA."

“Shoutout to Michael Beasley. You hear a lot of guys say this. Michael Beasley is probably the most talented basketball player who’s not in the NBA."That's a big deal coming from someone like Wade, who is regarded as the best ever player in the history of the Miami Heat. And even though he is not with the NBA anymore, he hasn't let that affect his game.

Should Michael Beasley get another chance with the NBA?

While his run with the NBA was not the most successful, Michael Beasley has managed to make his mark overseas, as well as with the Big 3 League, where he is currently playing.

He is considered one of the best players in the League and won the competition with his team last week. Even when he was overseas in China, he wanted to win there with his team. Which is probably why Dwyane Wade thinks Beasley should get another chance to prove himself in the NBA.

“When you think about how talented he is, you don’t understand why he’s not in the NBA. You understand maybe he might not be a star, but you don’t understand why he’s not in the league because of the talent that young man has in his body.”But even though Wade thinks Beasley should get a chance, it's not going to be easy. At 36 years old, even if he is now one of the top players in the Big 3 League, getting to make a comeback in the NBA is not the same. And chances of him having the same impact in the NBA as he is having one will also be difficult. Not to take anything away from Beasley, he is still an incredible player, but maybe being away from the NBA is the better option for him.
