Five days of high-quality squash came to an exciting conclusion on Saturday as Eastern Slam Chhattisgarh 2026 wrapped up at the Squash Complex in Budhapara, with young talents from across the country delivering impressive performances in the finals across multiple age categories.Among the standout finals, Karnataka’s Sameeksha Sugumar edged Rajasthan’s Gaurvi Ajmera 11-2, 9-11, 11-5, 6-11, 11-6 to clinch the Girls Under-11 title, while Delhi’s Rudransh Prabhakar overcame Rajasthan’s Yuvaan Verma 11-6, 11-4, 9-11, 7-11, 11-8 to win the Boys Under-11 crown.In the Girls Under-13 final, Aaliya Kankaria of West Bengal defeated Karnataka’s Akshara Makhija 12-10, 11-7, 2-11, 6-11, 11-7, while Rajasthan’s Dhairya Gogia defeated Maharashtra’s Aaron Arambhan 11-2, 7-11, 11-3, 13-11 in the Boys Under-13 category.Madhya Pradesh’s Anika Kalanki captured the Girls Under-15 title with a commanding 13-11, 11-3, 11-4 victory over Maharashtra’s Aashi Shah, while Tamil Nadu’s Dhruv Bopanna outclassed West Bengal’s Ayaan Dhanuka 11-6, 11-2, 11-5 in the Boys Under-15 final.The Girls Under-17 title went to Jammu & Kashmir’s Adya Budhia, who prevailed over Madhya Pradesh’s Saanvi Kalanki in a thrilling five-game contest, winning 11-7, 6-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-8.
Maharashtra’s Shreyansh Jha secured the Boys Under-17 championship after defeating Karnataka’s Aryaman Singh 11-9, 11-5, 12-10.In the Under-19 finals, Uttar Pradesh’s Unnati Tripathi defeated Haryana’s Devashree Arora 11-9, 11-5, 11-4 to lift the girls’ title, while fellow Uttar Pradesh player Yusha Nafees overcame Rajasthan’s Subhash Choudhary 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, 11-5 in the boys’ final.The senior titles were claimed by Nirupama Dubey of Maharashtra, who defeated Unnati Tripathi 12-10, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8 in the women’s final, and Suraj Chand (SSCB), who produced a dominant display to beat Tamil Nadu’s Arihant K S 11-6, 11-9, 11-4 in the men’s championship match.
