ED questions CMRL executive director Anil Ananda Panicker

Kochi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday questioned Anil Ananda Panicker, executive director of Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL), at its Kochi zonal office. The questioning was part of the ED investigation into alleged financial transactions between CMRL and Exalogic Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company associated with Veena T, daughter of former chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.Panicker, who is also the son-in-law of CMRL managing director Sashidharan Kartha, was questioned as part of the agency’s efforts to gather additional information and documents linked to the case. Kartha was also questioned by ED in connection with the probe.Meanwhile, according to reports, Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has handed over the documents pertaining to the case to ED, as per the directions made earlier by the court.
