ED questions former min’s son in liquor scam

Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday questioned Rohit Oraon, son of Lohardaga MLA and former finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, in connection with the liquor scam and a money laundering case.

Rohit arrived at the ED office in Harmu in the morning following the agency’s directive.

The ED had on Aug 23, 2023 conducted searches at 34 locations across Ranchi, Dumka, Deoghar and Godda districts as part of the probe, including places linked to Rohit. The agency has also summoned the Lohardaga MLA for questioning on Tuesday.
