ED raids actor Dino Morea's residence in Maharashtra in River Mithi cleaning scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out searches at multiple locations across Mumbai and Kerala in connection with the alleged Rs 65 crore Mithi River cleaning scam. Among the premises raided was the residence of Bollywood actor Dino Morea in Mumbai, a close friend of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, BMC assistant engineer Prashant Ramugade and various other individuals.

Dino Morea had previously been questioned twice by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police, which initially registered the case.

The raids are being conducted in connection with a money laundering investigation linked to the alleged Mithi river cleaning scam. The authorities are reviewing documentation and collecting evidence to probe suspected financial malpractices.
