Carlos Alcaraz didn’t just dominate 2025 — he bulldozed it.
No player, man or woman, stacked up more silverware this season than the 22-year-old Spaniard, who walked away with eight titles.
And these weren’t filler trophies, either. We’re talking two majors (Roland Garros and the US Open), three Masters 1000s (Monte Carlo, Rome, Cincinnati) and three ATP 500s (Rotterdam, Queen’s Club, Tokyo).
And it’s with the same effortlessness that Alcaraz etched his name into yet another elite list.
To put that into context, only two men in the last decade have hit eight or more titles in a single season: Andy Murray in his 2016 heater (nine), and Jannik Sinner in 2024 (eight).
Stretch the timeline out to the entire 21st century, and the list is still tiny — and legendary. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Sinner… and now Alcaraz. That’s the company he’s keeping.
Players with 8+ titles in a season this century:
- Roger Federer (did it four times)
- Rafael Nadal
- Novak Djokovic
- Andy Murray
- Jannik Sinner
- Carlos Alcaraz
Back to 2025: Jannik Sinner pushed him as close as anyone could, ending with six titles of his own — including the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the ATP Finals. Meanwhile, Alexander Bublik quietly had himself a career year with four titles, and Felix Auger-Aliassime plus Luciano Darderi each snagged three.
A whole group of heavy hitters — Djokovic, Fritz, Ruud, Cobolli, Shapovalov and Joao Fonseca — finished with two each, but Alcaraz and Sinner were in their own stratosphere.
Eight titles, two Slams, and a season that puts him smack in the middle of tennis’s history books — talk about a season for the books. And the scariest part? Alcaraz still looks like he’s only getting started.
