The Election Commission has filed a status report in the Supreme Court regarding the Special Intensive Revision of voter list in Bihar where it has mentioned that the booth-wise list of about 65 lakh people whose names have not been included in the draft voter list has been published on the website.

In the report, it also mentioned that the draft voter list has also been made available on the websites and offices of all 38 District Election Officers.

The commission has also told the Supreme Court that the public notice also mentions that those whose names have been left out can submit a claim with their Aadhaar card. The list has been published along with the reasons for not being included in the draft voter list. Reasons like death of the voter, permanent change in residence or duplicate entries have been mentioned in it.

The commission also said in its reply that reports have been received from all 38 District Election Officers in this regard.

The status report of the Election Commission states that the draft voter list has also been pasted in the offices of Panchayat Bhawan, Block Development Officers and Panchayat Officers.

In addition, the list has also been made available with BLO and BLA so that people can get information about the reasons behind the exclusion of their names and can file objections for correction as per the prescribed procedure.

In Bihar, publicity has also been done through the main newspapers as well as radio, electronic and social media (including DEO's social media account), about the online availability of the list on the website of the CEO and DEO and the draft voter list in Panchayat Bhawans, Block Development offices and Panchayat offices.
