Elephant attack leaves 1 dead in Jharkhand’s Koderma

KODERMA: A 35-year-old man was allegedly trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants in Koderma on Sunday, police said. The incident took place in Kataiya village under the Satgawan police station limits, officials said. "The incident happened while the victim, identified as Rohit Yadav, was trying to drive the herd away from his field. He slipped and fell, and was trampled to death," a police officer said. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to the Sadar Hospital in Koderma, he added.
