Encounter in J&K's Kishtwar, Jaish terrorists believed to be holed up

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Singhpora area of Kishtwar after a security forces party came under fire during a cordon and search operation,

Security forces had specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area and launched a massive joint search operation. During the operation, security personnel established contact with the hiding terrorists, triggering an exchange of fire.

Sources said that two to three terrorists are believed to be hiding in the area and a Jaish group is likely trapped as the operation continues. The encounter is currently underway, and further details are awaited from the spot in Jammu and Kashmir.
