Director Subash K Raj has addressed the growing rumours linking him with actor Vikram for his second directorial venture. Ever since the impressive success of 'Blast,' reports on social media claimed that the filmmaker had already signed his next project with the Tamil star.
Some rumours even suggested that Vikram was originally approached for 'Blast' before Arjun was cast in the lead role. With the speculation gaining momentum, Subash has now issued a clarification, dismissing the reports as baseless.
Subash K Raj reacts to speculations
Responding to the rumours in an interview with Cinema Express, Subash K Raj firmly denied the claims and made it clear that no such project has been finalised. "All the reports that you are seeing on social media are false.
Even I am surprised by these claims," he said. The director also revealed that he is currently working on the script for his next film and has not yet approached any actor for the project. "The writing process for my next film has begun.
I will reach out to actors only after I complete the script," he added, putting an end to the ongoing speculation surrounding Vikram.
Filmmaker focused on developing his next script
Subash's clarification comes at a time when fans have been eagerly waiting to know what he plans to do after the success of Blast.
While reports of a collaboration with Vikram generated excitement among movie lovers, the director has now confirmed that his immediate focus is entirely on completing the screenplay. His comment also points out that the casting process has not yet begun, leaving the possibility open for the future but ruling out any confirmed association at this point.
'Blast' marked an impressive debut for the director
‘Blast’ is the directorial debut of Subash K Raj, who also wrote the film, and it features Arjun, Abhirami, and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles. The action drama emerged as a commercial success and also received a positive response after its OTT release. Before turning director, Subash worked as an associate of filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan. The 'Blast' makers have already confirmed that they will collaborate with the young filmmaker once again. However, details regarding the new project are yet to be officially announced.
