Homebuyers approached the Supreme Court accusing real estate promoter Satinder Singh Bhasin of defying the top court’s orders and remaining untraceable weeks after his bail was cancelled.

In a fresh application, the Grand Venezia Buyers’ Association has sought immediate coercive steps to enforce the Court’s April 2, 2026 judgment, which revoked Bhasin’s bail and directed him to surrender within seven days. The plea noted that the April 9 deadline has long passed without any appearance or explanation from the promoter.

Describing his conduct as “wilful and deliberate defiance," the buyers stated in the petition that Bhasin ignored even the rejection of his plea for more time on April 8, failing to show any intent to comply with binding judicial directions.

The petitioned warned that such non-compliance risks undermining the authority of the judiciary.

“Allowing a litigant to evade surrender through repeated procedural manoeuvres sends a deeply disturbing signal that even orders of the Supreme Court can be stalled or ignored," it stated.

The buyers have also raised concerns that Bhasin may have fled the country through unlawful means, while alleging a lack of effective enforcement by the Uttar Pradesh Police despite clear court directions.

According to the application, the post bail cancellation period has been marked by calculated delay. After his bail was cancelled, Bhasin moved an application seeking additional time to surrender, which was expressly rejected. Despite this, he is accused of filing successive pleas, including a recall application, in what the buyers describe as a strategy to postpone compliance rather than obey the Court’s mandate.

The buyers have also accused Bhasin of suppressing material facts before the Court. They alleged that he failed to disclose multiple pending proceedings arising out of FIRs registered in Delhi and Gautam Budh Nagar, undermining his claims of good faith and candour.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court set aside the bail granted to businessman Satinder Singh Bhasin in connection with a multi-crore rupee alleged Grand Venice Mall scam in Greater Noida.

A bench comprising Justices Sanjay Karol and N K Singh directed Bhasin to surrender before the jail authorities within a week.

“The petitioner has not complied with the conditions of bail imposed upon him vide order dated November 6, 2019. Resultantly, the bail granted to the petitioner is cancelled. The petitioner is to surrender within one week from the date of this judgement," the bench said.

With Bhasin still at large, the buyers have urged the Court to issue non-bailable warrants, open a lookout circular to prevent any attempt to leave India, and initiate contempt proceedings.

In a parallel move, investor Louleen Kaur Bhalla has filed a separate plea seeking urgent enforcement of the same judgment, echoing calls for strict action to secure Bhasin’s surrender and uphold the rule of law.
