Trump Health Update: US President Donald Trump said a routine medical check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center had gone “perfectly," as renewed attention surrounding his health continues to grow ahead of his 80th birthday next month.
“Everything checked out PERFECTLY," Trump wrote on Truth Social while returning to the White House after the examination, which included annual medical and dental evaluations.

The visit marked Donald Trump’s fourth known interaction with medical specialists since returning to office last year and comes amid increasing public scrutiny over his physical condition, particularly after recent photographs showed bruising on his hands and visible swelling around his ankles.
Why Trump’s Health Is Back In Spotlight?
The White House has repeatedly maintained that Donald Trump remains in strong physical and cognitive health. However, some medical experts have questioned the limited details released publicly about the US President’s condition. Presidents are not legally required to release medical records or undergo annual public examinations but health disclosures have become customary in modern American politics. Donald Trump has frequently criticized former US President Joe Biden’s physical and mental fitness while remaining relatively guarded about his own health information.

What Donald Trump’s Previous Medical Reports Showed
After returning to office in 2025, Donald Trump underwent another extensive physical examination that included cardiac testing, CT scans, ultrasounds and neurological screening. The White House said the US President was in “excellent cognitive and physical health" and noted that his weight had dropped significantly, moving him out of the obese category.
However, in July 2025, the White House disclosed that Donald Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after swelling was noticed in his lower legs. Officials also attributed bruising on his hands to frequent handshaking and aspirin use.
A follow-up evaluation later that year again described Donald Trump as being in “exceptional health," though only limited details were released publicly.
