‘I wasn’t there just to exist’

Vanshaj Singh recently opened up about his journey on the reality show, reflecting on the immense pressure he faced while competing alongside seasoned personalities. In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, he shared that despite the challenges, he is proud of the impact he made and believes he was targeted because he emerged as a strong contestant.During the conversation, Vanshaj admitted that being on the show was far from easy. “I was under a lot of pressure, but I want to say this: people should understand how difficult it is to be on a show like this in India, especially when you’re surrounded by people who have 30 years of experience, people who’ve been working longer than I’ve even been alive,” he said.He further explained that finding his voice among such experienced contestants was one of the biggest challenges.

According to him, making his presence felt, standing his ground and leaving an impression required immense confidence and resilience.Despite the pressure, Vanshaj said he looks back at the experience with gratitude. “I’m just happy that I was on the show. I wasn’t just there to exist, I was there to play the game,” he shared.Calling himself a strong competitor, Vanshaj added that he believes this is why he became an early target inside the house.

“I was a strong competitor, and that’s why they targeted me first. I’m truly grateful for the entire experience." The reality show star also opened up about his journey and sharing the screen with Ravi Kishan. “Given the way I was raised and where I come from, all of this still feels unreal to me. I’ve always just followed my passion. I kept pursuing it, and eventually, that passion became my purpose,” he said.Recalling his experience of working alongside Ravi Kishan in Alliance, Vanshaj said, “During the shoot, I got the chance to meet Ravi Kishan. It wasn’t his responsibility to teach me anything, but I made it my responsibility to learn from him. Every conversation we had, I tried to understand his journey, his struggles, how success came to him much later in life, and how he never stopped believing in his work."
