Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy on Sunday urged the state govt to expedite key healthcare infrastructure projects in the constituency during a meeting with health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and health principal secretary Dr Christina Z Chongthu at the secretariat.The MLA sought the early commencement of the proposed Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) at Moula Ali on the premises of the Ayush Wellness Centre (Unani Hospital) and the speedy completion of the UPHC under construction at Eklavya Nagar. He also requested the govt to fill vacant doctor posts at the Alwal Primary Health Centre to strengthen healthcare services.He further urged the authorities to immediately initiate the tender process for works sanctioned under the Telangana Medical Infrastructure Development Fund (TMIDF) at the Malkajgiri Area Hospital, including the installation of a CT scan machine and high-voltage electrical facilities. He also sought the launch of a second outpatient (OP) service to cater to the increasing patient load.The health minister and health principal secretary assured the MLA that the proposals would be reviewed and appropriate action taken.
