The school classroom has witnessed several changes over the years. Today, teaching has become much more flexible. In the past, students would listen to the teacher, and the focus would be on memorising information.
However, technology has added a new dimension to this process. Chalkboards and notes are now backed by online tools, making classroom learning interactive and accessible. Delivering education in a dynamic, evolving world goes beyond the text. It is a lot more collaborative, even including tie-ups with global universities, organising workshops that enable students to assess whether they are ready for the world of work. Such activities also give students a glimpse into the real-life scenarios they may encounter in their professional realms, and help them understand how they can build their skillsets and personalities to thrive in dynamic environments with their peers. Schools today also organise carnivals that enable students to grasp realities outside of the classroom. Oakridge International School hosted an Internship Carnival on 24 March on its campus, bringing together universities, learning partners, and industry-led organisations to help students explore real-world learning opportunities.
The event also helped parents understand how internships support career clarity and curriculum breadth. The Internship Carnival created a single platform where students interacted directly with representatives from leading universities and internship providers.
