Astrologer Rajveer dies by suicide in Ghaziabad after living two days with mother Satnam dead, amid debt, family estrangement and a secret relationship with a Haryana woman.

Days after a 42-year-old astrologer jumped to his death from the 13th floor of a Ghaziabad high-rise while his 70-year-old mother’s dead body was recovered from their ground-floor flat, disturbing revelations have come to light.

The deceased man has been identified as Rajveer. The astrologer’s suicide was reported on March 19, following which his mother’s body was found wrapped in a blanket. When police began a probe into Rajveer’s death, they discovered his mother, Satnam, lying motionless in another flat in the same building.

Officers said she had been dead for at least two days and that there were no visible injury marks, ruling out murder for now. The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem.

Police Probe Points To Financial Stress, Personal Losses

Investigators believe Rajveer stayed in the house with his mother’s body for two days before ending his life, NDTV reported. According to police, he had often told people close to him that he would not live if anything happened to his mother.

Rajveer lived with Satnam while his estranged wife and their son lived separately in Crossing Republik. According to his estranged wife, he had stopped contributing to household expenses for the last four months.

Moments before jumping to death, Rajveer had texted his estranged wife the unlock code to his mobile phone. Further examination of the device revealed he was in a relationship with a woman from Haryana, whom he intended to marry. He had allegedly informed her that he was already divorced.

Police also found that Rajveer was under financial strain, carrying debts of about Rs 15-16 lakh, the report mentioned. He had suffered multiple personal tragedies in recent years as both his father and brother had died. Neighbours and local residents said Rajveer kept to himself and rarely interacted with others.
