US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said he held an “extremely fruitful" meeting with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The discussion covered key security and geopolitical issues and focused on areas of shared interest between the two countries.

In a statement after the meeting, Gor said strategic cooperation between the United States and India continues to move forward. The talks included defense coordination, intelligence matters and regional security concerns, he said.

“Just wrapped up an extremely fruitful meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Covered critical security & geopolitical issues. Strategic cooperation between the United States and India continues to advance," Sergio Gor wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The meeting took place as Washington and New Delhi continue discussions on cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, supply chain resilience, counterterrorism efforts and technology policy. Both sides have described their relationship as important for regional stability amid shifting geopolitical conditions in Asia.

The two governments maintain regular engagement at the national security level alongside ongoing trade and economic talks. The latest meeting adds to that pattern of dialogue between senior officials.
