The summer break is over, and F1 is back for the second half of the season, beginning with the Dutch Grand Prix in the Netherlands. The race is one of the most popular on the F1 calendar as the Zandvoort Circuit, flowing through sand dunes, makes it no less than a challenging rollercoaster.

Red Bull star Max Verstappen will be racing in his home country amid the cheers of his loyal fans. Here’s the complete race schedule, weather forecast, and all the details about where to watch the weekend event.

Dutch Grand Prix schedule

Friday, August 29There will be an F1 car presentation at the Zandvoort Circuit before the races begin. The first free practice session (FP1) will start at 12:30 pm local time (4 pm IST) and will be followed by a Teams’ press conference an hour later.

FP2 will begin at 4 pm local time (7:30 pm IST). In the late evening, a track tour, trophy photo session, and an F1 Experiences Pit Lane Walk are also planned.Saturday, August 30The third free practice session (FP3) will begin at 11:30 am local time (3 pm IST), and the Qualifying session is scheduled for 3 pm local time (6:30 pm IST). There will be a press conference soon after. A Champions Club grid walk and trophy photo program are also scheduled for the evening.

Sunday, August 31The Dutch Grand Prix final will take place at 3 pm local time (6:30 pm IST) after a drivers’ parade and the national anthem.

Weather forecast

The temperature on Day 1 of the Dutch Grand Prix will range between 18 – 20°C. There is more than an 80 percent chance of 5 – 15 mm showers in phases as drivers take to the Zandvoort Circuit for FP1 and FP2 on Friday.Similar cloudy weather is expected on Saturday, August 30, with temperatures hovering between 16 – 18°C.

Rainfall of 5 – 15 mm is once again expected during FP3 in the morning and Qualifying in the evening.The weather in the Netherlands is unlikely to change on race day, as there is again an 80 percent chance of rain on Sunday. The temperature will be around 19°C.

Who will dominate the Zandvoort Circuit this weekend?

This is Max Verstappen’s home race, and he will certainly look to benefit from the home advantage. He finished second on the podium last year, while the race was won by McLaren’s championship contender Lando Norris.
