A host of prominent stars graced the British Grand Prix Grid Walk on Monday, July 7, at Silverstone, featuring former football giant Ian Wright, Spiderman fame Tom Holland and former English farmer and media personality, Kaleb Cooper. All three famous personalities marked their presence for the Grid Walk event ahead of the most exciting Formula 1 tussle.
Speaking to Sky Sports presenter Martin Brundle ahead of the British Grand Prix, all three celebrities expressed their excitement to be at the event, with Cooper declaring his first-time grid walk appearance is an “overwhelming" one. “First time (at the Grid) yeah, a bit overwhelming," he said. When asked if the exciting Grid Walk has more horsepower than Clarkson’s tractor, Cooper joked, “Well, that’s terrible. I can’t say the words I was going to say because you’re live on TV. But that is a terrible tractor for sure."
Brundle soon moved on to Wright, the former Arsenal forward, who couldn’t hold back his excitement as he enjoyed his time out from his analyst duties. “I am so excited, bro. I am so excited," Wright said. “I never get to do this in the summer during the tournament. But honestly, I am buzzing, bro."
Hollywood movie star Holland revealed he came out for the British GP to support the eight-time winner and Ferrari ace, Lewis Hamilton. “I am here for Lewis today." In a brief interaction, Holland showed his know-how of the sport and hoped for more rain in gloomy weather conditions for the F1 race to get more exciting. The Spider-Man lead actor also lauded the F1 drivers for their calmness and composure.
“I hope the rain keeps up, make it as exciting as possible. I haven’t seen Lewis here. I saw him earlier but I am going to try and catch him before he gets in the car. I’m always really wary of not being a distraction. I’m amazed at how calm the drivers are before they go out," Holland said.
“I had the chance to sit in the Williams earlier and it is so intimidating and terrifying. So I am amazed at their composure and their ability to talk to people and be in amongst all the craziness before the race."
