A fatal crash in Vijayapura, Karnataka that initially appeared to be a road accident has now taken a disturbing turn. Police are indicating that the incident may have been a deliberate act linked to personal distress.

On Tuesday (31 March 2026) morning a motorcycle rammed head-on into a moving government bus in Vijayapura road. The impact was severe, and the bike caught fire almost immediately.

The rider, identified as Abhishek Nagaral, was trapped in the flames and was burnt alive on the spot. The bus driver, conductor and passengers managed to get down in time and escaped without injuries. The bus also caught minor fire, which was later extinguished by fire personnel.

Twist in the Case

At first, the crash appeared to be a road accident. However, it has now taken a major turn during the investigation. Police suspect that the collision may have been intentional.

On the morning of the incident, Abhishek had posted a video on Instagram. In the video, he said that he would die that day and expressed distress over a failed relationship. He stated that he wanted the woman he loved and blamed those who had separated them for his situation.

He also named three individuals – Veeresh Nandur, Chaitra Nandur and Naveen Kumar Patil in the video and held them responsible for his death.

Sequence of Events
