The Ministry of External Affairs has debunked a fake social media claim that US asked India to provide military support to attack Iran. In a social media post, MEA called the claims “fake and fabricated" and urged people to stay alert against such posts.

“Fake News Alert! Please stay alert against such false and baseless claims and posts on social media!" MEA posted on X.

Breaking News: The US has asked permission from India to support a military asset that will be used to bomb Iran from Western India. In bureaucratic terms it means an interpretation of the LEMOA.
