Speaking about the early concept of ‘Main Hoon Na’, Farah Khan shared that the idea initially revolved around a lighthearted romantic comedy.
Khan explained, “Actually, at first, it was purely a rom-com. Okay, so he goes to school, then he falls in love with a teacher. It was along those lines.”According to the filmmaker, the basic premise was inspired by a familiar school crush that many students experience during their teenage years. Farah added, “Everyone has a teacher that they are in love with. So the idea came from there.”
