Farmer dies in Buxar road accident

Buxar: A 50-year-old farmer died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Kadsar village on Ara-Mohania main road (NH-319) under Sonvarsha police station area in Buxar district on Sunday evening.

The deceased was identified as Dhirendra Ravani, a resident of Kadsar village. Following the incident, angry villagers and family members blocked NH-319, leading to traffic snarls on the highway for hours.According to villagers, Ravani was on way to a local mill when the accident occurred. While crossing the road, he was struck by an unidentified vehicle, reportedly moving at high speed. He died on the spot due to the impact.Sonvarsha SHO Santosh Kumar said a police team was dispatched to the location and further investigation was underway.
