Fee fraud in Ludhiana nursing institute.

Ludhiana: Police have charged a man and his son, both from the management, with embezzling ₹1.5 crore by redirecting student fees into their personal bank accounts over a 12-year period.The suspects, Rajinder Kumar Bhatia and his son Sunny Bhatia, held senior administrative positions at the Satguru Institute of Nursing in Guru Arjun Dev Nagar. According to a complaint filed in April 2025 by management member Harpal Singh, the pair systematically diverted institutional tuition payments between 2013 and April 2025.Following a detailed inquiry by senior police officials, the Division Number 7 police station registered a first information report (FIR). The investigating officer, constable Gurpreet Singh, confirmed that the duo has been charged with cheating and criminal conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code.
