Day 2 of the Round of 32 at the FIFA World Cup will see 2014 champions Germany take on Paraguay, while 2010 runners-up Netherlands will face Morocco in what can be an interesting clash at the marquee tournament.
Germany face Paraguay at Gillette Stadium near Boston in a landmark Round of 32 clash, marking their first FIFA World Cup knockout game since defeating Argentina in the 2014 final.
The Germans did enough to top their group as they hammered Curacao and edged out the Ivory Coast before an inconsequential loss to Ecuador.
Meanwhile, the clash between three-time FIFA World Cup runners-up the Netherlands and 2022 semi-finalists Morocco in Monterrey, Mexico, promises to be the most evenly poised tie of the Round of 32.
These are the teams ranked eighth and seventh in the world, respectively, with both teams filled with talent based in major European leagues.
Meanwhile, Morocco boast multiple footballers with strong Dutch connections, including Dutch-born defender Noussair Mazraoui of Manchester United and forward Ismael Saibari, who starred for Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven last season and is all set to join Bayern Munich.
