Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam at Indrakeeladri came alive with devotional fervour on the fifth and final ‘Sravana Sukravaram’. The sacred Kumkumarchana ritual was performed with deep devotion. To manage the surge of devotees, the temple administration organised the ritual in two batches—7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.—ensuring a seamless experience for participants.

Temple Executive Officer V.K. Seenanayak personally supervised the arrangements, which included effective crowd management, provision of drinking water, and enhanced facilities for devotees waiting for darshan. Continuous ‘annadanam’ (free meals) was served for nearly 16 hours, while ‘prasadam’ was distributed through a dedicated queue line. Officials said the measures aimed to provide every pilgrim with a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience.

Devotees believe that darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga on Sravana Sukravarams brings special blessings. Participation in Kumkumarchana is regarded as highly auspicious, believed to remove obstacles in marriage, promote good health, bless progeny, and ensure success in career pursuits.

As devotional chants resonated across Indrakeeladri, the final Sravana Sukravaram concluded on a note of spiritual grandeur, reaffirming the temple’s exalted status as one of Andhra Pradesh’s most revered Shakti Peethas.
