Fire breaks out at agrochemical factory in Haryana's Karnal

A major fire broke out at an agrochemical factory in Haryana's Karnal on Saturday (July 4, 2026), police said.

No one was present inside the factory's godown near Nagla Chowk when the fire broke out, Sadar police station Station House Officer Inspector Tarsem said.

The blaze sent thick black smoke billowing into the sky, police said.

Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot after authorities received information about the incident, and efforts to douse the flames were under way.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation has been initiated, police said.
