Josh Duggar shifted to new prison

Josh Duggar, known for ‘19 Kids and Counting’, has been shifted to a new prison in Lisbon, Ohio. According to reports shared by FOX24, Duggar was held at a temporary federal transfer centre in Oklahoma City before his move. It was also confirmed in a statement by a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons that the shift was officially made a few days ago on July 8.This is his fifth move while serving his current 12-year sentence, which began in 2022.

Before Oklahoma City, he spent about four years at FCI Seagoville, after which he was transferred to a Federal Medical Centre in Fort Worth in May earlier this year.Other than that, a month ago, Josh, through his legal counsel, applied to vacate his 2021 judgment; however, the request was denied by U.S. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks. The appeal had been made alleging that there had been a lot of issues with his trial, which also included “errors in the admission of forensic evidence.”

He also alleged in the appeal that through all of this, his constitutional rights had also been violated.The appeal was denied because it was filed with the authorities late, a month after the official deadline had already passed.

Who is Josh Duggar

Famed TV show host Josh Duggar was arrested in April 2021 by Homeland Security for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. After his arrest, a trial was held in Arkansas, where he was sentenced in May 2022 to spend 12 years in prison.

He had also formerly been accused of abusing 5 girls, which also included his sisters, Jill (Duggar) Dillard and Jessa (Duggar) Seewald.
