Former Anna University V-C writes to CM on Higher Education

Former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, E. Balagurusamy, has written to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister requesting him to constitute a State Higher Education Reforms Task Force, introduce transparent and time-bound faculty recruitment drives, and enhance State funding for research, infrastructure, and digital tools.

Stating that most State universities had no vice chancellors for a long time, he said that the State institutions were also suffering from acute faculty shortage, inadequate funding, bureaucratic bottlenecks, and curriculum mismatch, besides other aspects.
