Former Bijnor ACMO killed after dumper truck hits bike

Bijnor: Former Additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Dr Mahendra Singh, 62, was killed after a dumper truck hit his motorcycle on the Meerut-Pauri National Highway on Sunday morning while he was on his way to the Primary Health Centre in Dharmanagari.Police said the truck driver has been detained and the vehicle seized. The body was sent to the district hospital for postmortem examination, and legal proceedings are underway.Singh had earlier served as ACMO in the Bijnor health department. Even after his retirement two years ago, he was asked to continue working with the department on a three-year extension because of his experience and dedication.
