In a significant political move, Ajay Kumar Singh, son of former Member of Parliament Tapeshwar Singh, has aligned himself with the JD(U) in Patna. State president Umesh Kushwaha embraced Singh's decision, asserting that his involvement will invigorate the party's efforts in the Bhojpur-Buxar area.
Patna: Former Congress MLC Ajay Kumar Singh on Sunday joined JD(U) during a function at the party office. JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha presented him the membership slip and enrolled him as a primary member.
Singh is the son of former Bikramganj MP and cooperative leader Tapeshwar Singh.Kushwaha, welcoming Singh, said his entry into the JD(U) would provide new energy and strength to the organisation in the Bhojpur-Buxar region. He expressed confidence that the party would benefit from Singh’s long social and political experience, adding that the policy of “Development with Justice” would be further strengthened.“Singh joined the JD(U) after being impressed by the visionary policies and welfare-oriented ideas of chief minister Nitish Kumar,” Kushwaha said.The ruling party’s chief whip in the legislative council, Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhi Ji, national general secretary-cum-MLA Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, MLA Dulal Chand Goswami, along with several party leaders and workers, were present on the occasion.
