Former Mira Bhayandar MLA passes away: Gilbert Mendonca dies at 72; tributes pour in from across parties

MIRA BHAYANDAR: Former MLA of Mira Bhayandar, Gilbert Mendonca passed away on Monday, August 18 night. He was 72yrs old. He was admitted to a Mumbai hospital for his health issues. BJP MLA from Mira Bhayandar wrote an emotional message for Mendonca on his social media page. Mehta wrote, "The tireless hard work he put in public life, his loyalty to social work and the personal connection he maintained with the people – all will be remembered in the political and social history of Mira-Bhayander.". Mira Bhayandar has lost one of its strong personalities, said transport minister Pratap Sarnaik, in his social media post.
