Vice-Chancellor of Patanjali Vishwavidyalaya Acharya Balkrishna recently laid the foundation stone for a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant at Payakaraopeta.

An MoU was signed between Patanjali institutions and Sri Prakash Educational Institutions to promote recycling, environmental protection and waste-to-resource initiatives. Mr. Balkrishna appreciated the institution’s efforts towards sustainability and proposed collaboration on circular economy projects, student and faculty exchange programmes, and implementation of concepts envisaged under the National Education Policy (NEP).

During the visit, he also inaugurated an Ayurvedic herbal treatment garden and a new administrative block, besides unveiling a statue of Raja Vatsavai Venkata Krishnamraju Bahadur, popularly known as Raja Bullibabu.

Addressing students, Mr. Balkrishna stressed the need for self-sustainability in education and advocated the “earn while you learn” approach. Early exposure to practical work, he said, helps students become self-reliant and develop confidence and entrepreneurial skills.

He encouraged students to participate in creative and skill-based activities to cope with stress arising from competitive examinations.
