Four youths were killed on the spot in two different road accidents in Raichur city on Saturday.
In the first incident, three youths riding a motorcycle were killed after a speeding goods container rammed them, near Basaveshwar Circle.
The victims have been identified as Mohammad Ali Pasha, 24, Noor Mohammad, 19, and Fayaz, 26, and all were residents of Sukhani Colony in Raichur city.
The police sources said that the goods container was driven by Sahajor Azad Khan, a native of Ismailpur village, Kishanghad taluk, Alver district, in Rajasthan. The police took him into custody.
The vehicle was heading to Chennai from Ahmedabad.
In another incident, 21-year-old Basavaraj was killed after he was run over by a government-owned bus when he accidentally fell on the road from a moving autorickshaw.
The sources said that the victim, who was pursuing BSc, was doing catering work.
The police have two separate cases.
