Fraudsters create fake account in NTR Collector’s name

Miscreants created fake Instagram account impersonating NTR district Collector, G. Lakshmisha, and posted messages to some officers and the public requesting to send money.

With some people noticing the fraud and alerting the Collector on Saturday (June 20, 2026), the latter cautioned the public and appealed not to respond to such messages.

“Some fraudsters opened fake Instagram accounts on my name and are operating impersonating me. I request the public not to believe and respond to such accounts,” Mr. Lakshmisha said. “A complaint would be lodged with the police on the cyber fraud,” the Collector said.
