The San Francisco 49ers is the best place to be for quarterbacks, tight ends, and linebackers. They all want to extend their stay there. They are happy with the pay. They are happy they’re a part of a family created by the office staff there! Tight end George Kittle got extended by four years.
Then, quarterback Brock Purdy got extended by five years. And now, Fred Warner acquires an extension of three years! Playing for the 49ers, Warner garnered a showcase full of accolades, namely, 4-time Pro Bowl and 4-time First-team All-Pro. In the past 6 seasons with the 49ers, Warner has accumulated 897 total tackled, 10.0 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, 10 interceptions, 53 pass deflections, and 2 defensive touchdowns! No wonder the 49ers love him, and he loves the 49ers!
Extending a contract with the San Francisco 49ers was a seamless process for the 28-year-old linebacker Fred Warner
On May 31, Michael David Smith of NBC Sports reported that Warner, the veteran linebacker who has played his entire career in the San Francisco 49ers, signed a three-year, $63 million deal this offseason. QB Brock Purdy signed a five-year, $265 million contract, and TE George Kittle signed a four-year, $76 million contract. Warner says the San Francisco 49ers showed they mean business.
LB Fred Warner shared with the San Francisco 49ers.com, “I’m so grateful to everyone involved, including the whole York family, John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan. It was pretty seamless, and I’m happy for George Kittle and Brock Purdy to get their stuff done, too.”
Fred Warner says he’s at the exact spot with the San Francisco 49ers as the vision he had for himself as a younger player
Fred Warner calls being with the San Francisco 49ers a dream, “It honestly does mean the world. I said it when I signed my deal during some of the media stuff I was doing. When I got drafted here in 2018, it was truly a dream come true. It was the exact spot I wanted to be at because I knew they had a vision for me as a younger player who had never even played stack, off-the-ball linebacker. I was so raw at the time. Being able to fulfill my dream of being an NFL player, of being a 49er, I truly feel at the same exact way.
Signing this deal - it still is a dream to me.”
Fred Warner says 2025 NFL Draft's third-round 75th pick, Nick Martin, has a great mindset and wants to learn
22-year-old linebacker Nick Martin, who recently got drafted by the San Francisco 49ers, surprised 28-year-old Fred Warner. Warner talked about Martin with the 49ers.com, “I’ve loved everything that Nick(Martin) has been about since he arrived. I heard the whole story about - he said he had my jersey before coming onto the team. In some of those situations, guys don’t want to seem like they’re like ‘too cool’ or I don’t know what it is…but he’s come in and asked me every single question known to man. I’ve seen athletic ability flash on the field in the way he closes. He closes space really quickly. He already has the great mindset of want to learn. I’m really happy with where he’s at.”Also Read: “OTAs, why I gotta do this?”: Von Miller is tired of offseason practices | NFL News - Times of India
