Ranchi: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) will operate free city bus services on designated routes such as Railway Station Road, Kutchery Chowk, and Rajendra Chowk during the upcoming Sarhul and Ram Navami celebrations to facilitate devotees travelling across the city.Officials said the civic body has drawn up a series of arrangements to manage crowds, sanitation and heat during the festival period, which will also coincide with Eid. Free buses will run on selected routes, making it easier for devotees from distant areas to reach procession routes and religious sites.Special sanitation drives will be conducted across all 53 wards, particularly around 298 Sarna sites and akharas, along with major temples, mosques and Eidgahs where gatherings are expected.
Cleaning operations will be carried out in three shifts. Mechanical sweeping machines will also be deployed, and water sprinklers will be used along major procession routes to reduce dust and heat.To assist people during the celebrations, water tankers and mobile toilets will be stationed at key locations, while all public and Sulabh toilets will remain open free of charge round the clock during the festival days.
