Fresh Air India crash video shows medical students jumping from hostel balcony

India Today has accessed an unseen video of the Air India plane crash showing medical students jumping to safety from their hostel in Ahmedabad. The Air India Dreamliner crash-landed on the hostel, resulting in 270 fatalities. The footage shows students using bedsheets and curtains to escape from balconies.

On June 12, as the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plunged at a vertical speed of 475 feet per minute from an altitude of 625 feet, its tail crashed into the college hostel's mess, where several students were having lunch at around 1:43 pm, roughly five minutes after the flight took off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
