The mercury is rising, but 380 inhabitants of The Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park (Katraj Zoo) are all geared up to beat the heat in style. Implementing a comprehensive summer care strategy, zoo authorities are ensuring that the animals remain calm, cool, and comfortable in the scorching summer.

High-pressure mist foggers, air coolers, and sprinklers across enclosures for tigers, lions have been installed. Sloth bears and monkeys are given special “ice cakes” made of frozen fruit and honey.
