Pertinent to note that this was not the first time Araghchi took a sarcastic dig at the U.S. and especially, Trump. Let's take a look.

Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump
In a stark response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s ‘stone age’ remarks about Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi seemingly adopted a sarcastic tone, saying, “No oil or gas was being pumped in the Middle East back then".
In a post on ‘X’, Araghchi wrote, “There’s one striking difference between the present and the Stone Age: there was no oil or gas being pumped in the Middle East back then."

“Are POTUS and Americans who put him in office sure that they want to turn back the clock?" he added.
During his address to the nation, Trump warned Tehran will be pushed “back to the stone age", it it refuses to engage in peace talks with Washington. The remarks came as the conflict in West Asia entered its fourth week, with both sides intensifying military operations in the region.
Pertinent to note that this was not the first time Araghchi took a sarcastic dig at the U.S. and especially, Trump. Let’s take a look.
Mocking ‘America First’ Policy
The Iranian Foreign Minister, on Wednesday, launched a scathing attack on Trump’s ‘America First’ policy. In a post on ‘X’, “Nothing says ‘America First’ like launching a war for a foreign regime while trying to profit as young soldiers are sent off to die."

‘Israel-First Tax’
Reacting to earlier reports that the Pentagon sought over USD 200 billion in budget request for Iran war, Abbas Araghchi said the “Israel First tax" is about to hit U.S. economy.
We’re only three weeks into this war of choice, imposed on both Iranians and Americans. This $200b is the tip of the iceberg. Ordinary Americans can thank Benjamin Netanyahu and his lackeys in Congress for the trillion-dollar “Israel First tax" that’s about to hit U.S. economy. pic.twitter.com/a2dsMQh3fK

‘US Begging World’
The Iranian Minister lashed out at the United States for issuing an initial 30-day waiver for India to buy Russian oil amid the ongoing war in West Asia.
He argued Washington spent months on “bullying India into ending oil imports from Russia", and now it is “begging the world to buy Russian crude".

‘Technical Ignorance’
Earlier, Araghchi remarked that a potential “no nuclear weapons" deal failed not due to lack of effort, but because “US counterparts didn’t grasp the technical details".
Factual knowledge matters.Case 1: Iran’s proposal to ensure NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS was dismissed because U.S. counterparts didn’t grasp the technical details.
Case 2: Americans won’t “make money" from surging oil prices and tariffs. They enrich corporations and crush households.
